Paris 2024: World Athletics to pay a bonus ($50,000) to gold medalists for the first time ever
From the Paris 2024 Olympic Games onwards, World Athletics will be awarding a bonus of $50,000 (€46,000) to Olympic gold medallists in athletics events, announced the body on 10/04/2024. The international body thus becomes the first federation to provide a financial reward to its athletes based on their performances at the Olympic Games.
