Barclays Women's Super League: Sky & BBC extend domestic broadcasting rights for 2024-25

The British pay-TV operator Sky and public broadcaster BBC have extended their UK broadcasting rights to the Barclays Women's Super League for the 2024-25 season, announced the two parties on 11/04/2024.

The extension includes the same number of matches for each broadcaster as for the current cycle (2021-2024). Match highlights will also be available on the two groups' various channels (social networks, website, app).

Sky currently holds the rights to broadcast up to 44 Barclays WSL matches per season (minimum 35) over the 2021-2024 cycle. These rights were acquired for just under £10m (€11.68m) per season, according to specialised media reports. This figure rises to £15m (€17.52m) if production costs and additional marketing spend are taken into account. The BBC broadcasts up to 22 matches (a minimum of 18) per season.
