Borussia Dortmund: two matches including one in Japan during the club's "Asia Tour" in July 2024

Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) will play two friendly matches during its Asia Tour in July 2024, announced the club on 12/04/2024.

As part of this tour, scheduled from 19 to 25/07, the club's first team will take on Cerezo Osaka (Meiji Yasuda J1 League), home of former BVB player Shinji Kagawa (Japan), on 24/07/2024. A second match in Asia is "currently being finalised" for the period.

The German club has a permanent presence on the continent through two offices: one in Singapore, opened in 2014, and one in Shanghai (China), opened in 2017.

"We felt confirmed that because of the offices in Shanghai (China) and Singapore, it's important, helpful and senseful to be physically present in the target markets where we want to increase our presence," said Carsten Cramer, member of the management board at Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga), in charge of the sales, marketing and digitalisation departments, to News Tank Football on 29/02/2024.
