30 of the last 40 semi-finalists in the Champions League in the last 10 seasons (2004-05 to 2013-14) are ranked in the Top 10 of the 2015 Deloitte Football Money League, which was published by the UK office of the audit and consulting firm Deloitte on 22//01/2015.

FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA, 4^th in the Deloitte rankings) have made seven appearances at the semi-final level of competition in the last 10 seasons, ahead of Chelsea FC (Barclays Premier League, 7^th in the Deloitte rankings) with six semi-final appearances. Real Madrid CF (La Liga, 1^st in the Deloitte rankings) have reached the semi-finals four times in the past ten Champions League seasons, as have FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga, 3^rd in the Deloitte rankings) and Manchester United FC (Premier League, 2^nd in the Deloitte rankings).
