News Tank Football: elections, appointments & departures in March 2024

• Alexander Wehrle's term of office as chairman of the supervisory board of DFB GmbH & Co KG, the Deutscher Fussball Bund's commercial structure, has been extended for a further two years by the German Football Association's executive committee, announced the DFB on 08/03/2024.

• Germany's Rolf Heinz, president and CEO of the Prisma Media group from 2009 to 2021, has been appointed CEO of the L'Équipe group with effect from 01/06/2024, announced Groupe Amaury, owner of the sports media group, on 13/03/2024.

• Eduard Romeu, vice-president of the economic area at FC Barcelona (LALIGA EA Sports) since March 2021, has submitted his resignation, announced the club on 14/03/2024. The reason given for Romeu's departure was "due to the position's incompatibility with full-time dedication to his professional work."

• Michael Gerlinger, director of legal affairs and then vice-president of sporting affairs and competitions at FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) between 2005 and September 2023, has been appointed chief sports officer of Eagle Football Group, announced the American company on 29/03/2024…
