FIFA: the official list of presidential candidates will not be issued on 29/01/2015

"We have to consider that it will take some time until the Ad-hoc Electoral Committee will be in a position to announce the candidates. Why is this? It is easy to explain. Any of the 209 member associations can propose a candidate for the office of the president until the end of 29/01/2015. This does not necessarily mean that we will receive all respective documents physically on 29/01/2015 -- it is sufficient if, for example, the postmark confirms that the submission was made within the deadline," stated Domenico Scala, president of the Ad-hoc Electoral Committee to oversee the presidential election of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), on 23/01/2015.

The deadline to file an application is 29/01/2015, four months to the day before the election, to be held during the FIFA Congress in Zurich (SUI) on 29/05/2015.
