France: LFP wins special "Mobilising the Sector" award for its energy conservation

The Ligue de Football Professionnel, a committed member of the Ligue des Infrastructures Sportives (Sports Infrastructure League), has been awarded a special award for "Mobilising the Sector" by the French Energy Saving Championship on 10/04, announced the LFP on 17/04/2024.

The LFP, a founding member of this first season of the Sports Infrastructure League, "has been rewarded for its commitment and the following results achieved in recent months at its headquarters:
• 23.3% energy savings;
• 26.1% CO² equivalent emissions avoided;
• 69 MWh saved;
• 4 tonnes of CO² equivalent avoided."

"To achieve this, the LFP has encouraged its employees to set the average temperature between 19° and 21° maximum, with the automatic start-up of the heating in the corridors and common areas delayed by one hour and a cut-off time brought forward by one hour and 30 minutes. This meant that the automatic start-up of the heating in the offices was stopped, with each employee responsible for turning on their heating when they arrived, to avoid unnecessary heating when travelling, on holiday or teleworking.
