Paris 2024: with 100 days to go, 60% of French people intend to follow the Olympic Games (Nielsen)

60% of French people intend to follow the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games "at least a little," according to a study published by British consultancy Nielsen Sports 100 days ahead of the opening ceremony on 17/04/2024.

This figure is lower than the average rate of intention to follow in the eight countries covered by the study (Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States), which stands at 68%. China is the country where the most people intend to follow the Games (77%), while the level of interest in the event is lowest in Germany (53%).

Among the Paris 2024 partners, EDF is the brand with the highest assisted awareness at the end of 2023, according to the Nielsen Sports SponsorLink barometer. While the French electricity supplier was already the company most identified as a partner of the COJOP in 2019, the rest of the rankings have changed: Orange and Decathlon have moved up to 2^nd and 3^rd place respectively, replacing La Française des Jeux and Groupe BPCE.
