City Football Group: a record turnover of £877m (+24%) & net loss of £112m in 2022-23

City Football Group (CFG), a holding company investing in football assets (professional clubs, infrastructure, innovation), has posted record revenues of £877.1m (€1.024bn at 30/06/2023) for the financial year 2023, from 01/07/2012 to 30/06/2023, up 24% on 2021-22 (£705m), according to the annual accounts published by the owner of Manchester City FC (Premier League) on 04/04/2024.

Nearly 82% of these revenues (£712.8m/€826.2m) came from the English club's business, in which CFG has a 100% stake. New York City FC (MLS, 80% owned by CFG) and Melbourne City FC (Hyundai A-League, 100% owned) generated £48.2m (€55.8m) and £8.2m (€9.5m) respectively. In France, ESTAC Troyes (Ligue 2 BKT) contributed £20.3m (€23.5m) to the group result.

City Football Group posted a net loss of £112m (€131m), compared with a deficit of £137.8m in 2021-22. The group entered into a strategic partnership with Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir (Süper Lig) in February 2024.
