Red Star FC: "Stabilise the club in Ligue 2 before dreaming of Ligue 1" (Josh Wander, 777 Partners)

"This promotion is an important step in our project for Red Star, which began when we arrived two years ago. The next step will be to continue to invest time and resources to stabilise the club in Ligue 2, and to obtain approval for the training centre, before we can dream of Ligue 1 on a long-term vision," said Josh Wander, founder of 777 Partners, owner of Red Star FC, on 20/04/2024.

Wander, who is also CEO of the American investment fund, was reacting to the promotion of the Saint-Ouen-based club (Seine-Saint-Denis) to Ligue 2 BKT in 2024-25, an echelon in which Red Star had not played since being relegated to the third tier at the end of the 2018-19 season. The club's promotion was secured after a 0-2 draw with Dijon FCO on Friday 19/04/2024, Matchday 30 of the 2023-24 National 1 season.
