Borussia Dortmund: managing directors Carsten Cramer & Thomas Treß extend contracts until June 2027

The contracts of Carsten Cramer and Thomas Treß, members of the management board at Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga), responsible respectively for the sales, marketing and digitalisation departments, and the corporate, finance, legal and investment departments, have been extended until 30/06/2027, announced BVB on 22/04/2024.

This extension has been agreed ahead of schedule, as the contracts of the two directors were originally due to expire on 30/06/2025. "Knowing that CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke will be leaving at the end of 2025, it was important for us to ensure continuity and stability in the management of BVB's commercial company at an early stage," said Reinhold Lunow, president of the club that has qualified for the semi-finals of the 2023-24 Champions League (versus Paris Saint-Germain on 01 and 07/05/2024).

"We have overcome the Coronavirus crisis and have always emerged stronger from situations that would have pushed other clubs to their limits. Borussia Dortmund has long been one of the constants in Europe at the highest level," said Carsten Cramer.
