FIFA president since 08/06/1998, Joseph Blatter, 78 years old, announced he would run for a fifth term as head of the international body on 26/09/2014. The deadline to file an application for candidacy to the presidency is 29/01/2015, four months to the day before the election, to be held during the FIFA Congress in Zurich (SUI) on 29/05/2015.

"Football is a team sport. Let's go together with the team. I invite the confederation of UEFA and especially the leaders of UEFA that are so bitterly attacking me: join! Join!" said Joseph Blatter on the news channel CNN.
