England: Sue Day (RFU) to become director of women's football at The FA from December 2024

Sue Day (born 29/10/1972) is to become director of women's football at The Football Association from December 2024, announced The FA on 25/04/2024.

The former England international rugby union player, who has been chief operations officer and chief financial officer at the Rugby Football Union (RFU) since March 2018, will succeed Baroness Sue Campbell, who joined in 2016 and was also a board member for the Women's Euro 2022 hosted by England.

Sue Day was "responsible for finance, technology, people, strategy and the executive lead for the women's game and inclusion and diversity" at the RFU. "A former England rugby captain and prolific try scorer, she was capped 59 times for her country. She is a founding trustee of the Women’s Sports Trust, and in 2020 was awarded an MBE (Member of the British Empire) for services to gender equality in sport," said The FA.
