Spain: Movistar partners with WSC Sports (AI) to create content on the group's channels

Movistar Plus+, the pay-TV group owned by Spanish telecoms operator Telefonica, has entered into a partnership with WSC Sports, an Israeli company specialised in sports technology and artificial intelligence (AI), announced the group on 25/04/2024.

"Movistar Plus+ will utilise WSC Sports' award-winning platform to create real-time short-form video for a host of its top-tier sports rights including LALIGA and LALIGA Hypermotion, UEFA's Champions League, Europa and Conference League competitions, top domestic and international basketball - Liga ACB, EuroLeague, and the NBA - plus ATP Tour tennis and golf's major championships," said WSC Sports.

WSC Sports is already a partner of "more than 450 global leagues, teams, and broadcasters" including TF1 (free-TV), Canal+ (pay and free-TV), Sky (pay-TV), ESPN (pay-TV), DAZN (OTT), LOSC Lille (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), the NBA, the Deutsche Fußball Liga and Lega Serie A.
