GL events: Nicolas de Tavernost named vice-chairman of the board & chairman of a strategy committee

Nicolas de Tavernost (73), former president of the management board for the private free-TV group M6, has been appointed vice-chairman of the board of directors at GL events, announced the French events group on 25/04/2024.

He will also chair a "strategy committee" newly created by the group. This five-member committee will be responsible for analysing and making propositions to the board "regarding the Group's future direction and strategic priorities and will be able to draw upon the company's internal expertise," explained GL events.

Nicolas de Tavernost officially stepped down as chairman of M6 group's executive board on 23/04/2024. He had held this position since 2000, after serving as the group's deputy CEO from 1987 to 1990, and then CEO from 1990 to 2000. He has been replaced by David Larramendy, former CEO of advertising sales house M6 Publicité.
