2023-24 Sky Bet Championship: Leicester City promoted to Premier League, one year after relegation

Leicester City FC, top of the 2023-24 Sky Bet Championship table with a four-point lead over 2^nd-placed Leeds United FC and 3^rd-placed Ipswich Town FC after 44 of 46 games, are guaranteed to finish the season in one of the top two places and will therefore be promoted to the Premier League without having to go through the play-offs, since Leeds United, beaten 4-0 by Queens Park Rangers on Saturday 27/04/2024, have already played 45 games and cannot can no longer catch Leicester.

Relegated to the second division at the end of the 2022-23 season, Leicester return to the top flight after just one season in the Championship. The club has been 100% owned since 2010 by King Power International Limited (duty free distribution), a Thai company owned by the Srivaddhanaprabha family.
