Bundesliga domestic TV rights 2025-2029: "DAZN's bids did not comply with the tender" (DFL)

"The competent bodies of the DFL lawfully awarded rights package B to another bidder in accordance with the procedural rules of the tender. The bids submitted by DAZN Limited did not comply with the tender and were therefore not taken into account in the award process. The document subsequently submitted by DAZN from a bank does not change the decision to award the rights to another bidder. There is no basis and no justification for the withdrawal of the decision demanded by DAZN," announced the Deutsche Fußball Liga on 26/04/2024.

The Deutsche Fußball Liga suspended its tender for domestic media rights to the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga for the 2025-2029 cycle (four seasons), which was launched on 15/04/2024, following a complaint from OTT platform DAZN, on 17/04/2024.
