Malaysia: MP & Silva becomes the media and commercial advisor to the federation for 2016-2030

The MP & Silva agency has become the advisor to FAM for the management and sale of media , commercial, domestic and international rights to several competitions organised by the body, announced the two parties on 20/01/2015. The objective of the partnership, which takes effect in 2016 and ends in 2030 (a period of 15 seasons), is to increase the number of territories where FAM competitions are broadcast and to maximise their commercial potential.

The media and commercial rights include the Astro Malaysia Super League (Malaysian first division) the Astro Malaysia Premier League (second division) and the Piala FA (Malaysian Cup). The media rights apply to all broadcast platforms (free-TV, satellite, cable, IPTV, internet and mobile, video-on-demand and inflight systems in airplanes).

  • MP & Silva and FAM are to create a joint venture, FMLLP (Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership) to manage the production, sale and distribution of media rights to the Malaysian federation, as well as the definition of business strategies and the selling of marketing rights.
