Manchester City FC: partnership between player Erling Haaland and the "Clash of Clans" video game

Erling Haaland, a Norwegian player who plays for Manchester City FC (Premier League), has entered into a partnership with Supercell, a Finnish video game published owned by the Chinese internet services group Tencent, to appear as a playable character in the mobile game "Clash of Clans", on 30/04/2024.

The 23-year-old has become the first "playable" personality in the game. He will be featured as part of a football-themed seasonal event to be held between 01/05 and 31/05/2024. Players will be able to either recruit Erling Haaland's avatar or attack his village.

"When we heard that Erling Haaland was a fan of our game and wanted to work with us, it was the perfect scenario. Our team did everything we could to bring him into the game world, so that our players could experience something unique," said Stuart McGaw, head of Clash of Clans at Supercell.

Erling Haaland also appears on the cover of the EA Sports FC 24 (formerly "FIFA") video game, from the American published EA Sports (part of the Electronic Arts group).
