European Top 5: social media communities of the 96 clubs (May 2024)

• The clubs in the European Top 5 added 31.8 million new followers during the month of April 2024, taking their total to 2.67 billion on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X.
• Real Madrid CF (LALIGA EA Sports) is the club with the most followers with 371.6 million, ahead of FC Barcelona (LALIGA EA Sports, 324 million) and Manchester United FC (Premier League, 209.7 million).
• Real Madrid was the club that experienced the best growth in its number of followers during the month of April with 5.2 million new followers.
• In percentage terms, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, brand new 2023-24 Bundesliga champion, posted the best growth in its online community, with a 19.5% increase in its total number of followers.
• Ten clubs from the European Top 5 leagues have a total of more than 100 million followers: five clubs from the Premier League, two from LALIGA EA Sports, one from the Ligue 1 Uber Eats, one from the Bundesliga and one from the Serie A TIM.
