Paris 2024: Boli, Di Meco, Drogba, Papin & Rongier among the Olympic Torch bearers in Marseille

Basile Boli, Eric Di Meco, Didier Drogba and Jean-Pierre Papin, former Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) players, Valentin Rongier, a current Olympique de Marseille player, and Louisa Necib, a former member of the French women's national football team who was born in Marseille, are among the hundred or so Olympic Torch bearers who will be taking to the streets of Marseille on 09/05, announced Paris 2024 on 06/05/2024.

Among the other sports personalities taking part in carrying the flame from Notre-Dame de la Garde (scheduled to leave at around 08:20 CET) to the Stade Orange Vélodrome (scheduled to arrive at around 19:20 CET) will be:
• Tony Parker, former international basketball player;
• Nando De Colo, French basketball team player;
• Frédérick Bousquet, former swimmer with the Cercle des Nageurs de Marseille;
• Fabien Gilot, also a former swimmer with the Cercle des Nageurs de Marseille.

Marseille rappers Soprano and Alonzo will also be among the torchbearers, following a concert they will have given in the Vieux-Port just moments after the flame arrives from Greece aboard…
