Warner Bros. Discovery: "Max" platform to launch in France on 11/06 (€5.99, €9.99 or €13.99/month)

Warner Bros. Discovery will launch its Max streaming platform (a merger of the HBO Max and Discovery+ platforms) in France on 11/06/2024, announced the media and entertainment conglomerate on 07/05/2024.

The platform will offer three subscription rates at €5.99 (basic with advertising), €9.99 (standard) or €13.99 per month (premium, see below). A €5-a-month sports package will also be available, in addition to one of the existing subscriptions. This package will allow viewers to watch a number of live sporting competitions for which Eurosport holds the rights, such as the Grand Slam tennis tournaments and the Grand Tours of cycling (including the Tour de France). The Paris 2024 Games will also be included in all offers.

The pay and free-TV group Canal+ has also signed an agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery to distribute the platform as soon as it is launched in France, according to the company the same day.
