Ligue 1 TV rights (2024-2029): a dedicated beIN channel under consideration (press)

The pay-TV group beIN SPORTS France is reportedly working on the creation of a channel dedicated to broadcasting Ligue 1 Uber Eats matches from the 2024-25 season, according to the French sports daily L'Équipe on 11/05/2024.

beIN could then, if such a channel were created independently of its bouquet, conclude distribution agreements with the various telecoms operators independently of its current distribution agreement with Canal+, again according to L'Équipe. The pay and free-TV group is the exclusive distributor of beIN SPORTS in France over the 2020-2025 cycle (an agreement that can be extended for five years). This channel could also include matches from Ligue 2 BKT.

The call for tenders for the domestic TV rights to the Ligue 1 Uber Eats over the 2024-2029 cycle, launched on 12/09/2023, was declared unsuccessful by the LFP on 17/10/2023.
