FFF: equipment supplier contract "worth over €100m" per year renewed with Nike (P. Diallo)

"We have signed a historic contract worth over €100m. The FFF is one of the Federations with the largest equipment supplier contract in the world for the next ten years," declared Philippe Diallo, president of the Fédération Française de Football, to the daily newspaper Ouest France on 11/05/2024.

The American brand, which has supplied the kits for the French football teams since 2011, has extended its contract for a further eight seasons (i.e. for the 2026-2034 cycle) following a call for tenders organised by the FFF from 22/03 to 29/04/2024. Nike's offer was "unanimously" approved by the FFF's executive committee and represents double the amount paid by the American equipment manufacturer (and more than 35% of the FFF's 2022-23 operating income) for the 2018-2026 cycle (compared with €42.6m per year over the 2011-2017 cycle).

Nike has made an offer of an equivalent amount to the Deutscher Fussball Bund to become the equipment supplier to the German national teams for the 2027-2034 cycle. The agreement, made official by the DFB on 21/03/2024, is for twice the amount paid by adidas…
