NFL: Netflix, exclusive global broadcaster of Christmas Day games from 2024 to 2026

Netflix, an American subscription-based streaming service, has acquired exclusive global broadcast rights to NFL Christmas Day games for the 2024-2026 cycle (three seasons), announced the streaming platform on 15/05/2024.

The platform will stream both Christmas Day games in 2024 and "at least one game" in 2025 and 2026. Netflix is expected to be paying less than $150m (€138.8m) per game for the rights, according to US media reports. "Last year, we decided to take a big bet on live. We're so excited that the NFL's Christmas Day games will be only on Netflix," said Bela Bajaria, chief content officer at Netflix.

The platform has already collaborated with the North American league for the exclusive broadcast of the documentary series "Quarterback" in 2023 and "Receiver", available in summer 2024. The series are produced by production companies NFL Films, Omaha Productions and 2PM Productions.
