Germany/DFB: Volkswagen (car manufacturer) extends as a major partner for 4 years (2024-2028)

German car manufacturer Volkswagen has extended its partnership with the Deutscher Fussball Bund (DFB) for an additional four years (2024-2028), announced the DFB on 15/05/2024. The brand has been a partner of the German national teams since 01/07/2019.

The partnership, which covers all of the DFB's national teams (men's, women's and youth) as well as the 21 regional associations under the Federation's aegis, enables Volkswagen to remain one of the Federation's main economic partners. The German manufacturer provides the body with an annual grant estimated at between €25m and €30m over the 2019-2024 cycle.

As part of the partnership, the group will continue to appear on the training kit of the German national teams. "Services were reduced in individual product areas in order to be able to offer them to other potential partners. For example, a smaller number of LED perimeter minutes are allowed for national team games and in the DFB-Pokal than in the past," said the German Football Association.
