Ligue 2 BKT: Stade Lavallois signs public-private partnership to renovate Stade Francis Le Basser

Stade Lavallois (Ligue 2 BKT) and Laval Agglomération, owner of the Stade Francis Le Basser (Laval, Mayenne, FRA), have signed a memorandum of understanding for the renovation of the stadium as part of a public-private partnership (PPP), announced the two entities on 14/05/2024.

The project, which is "the culmination of nearly two years' work", is due to start at the end of 2025, with delivery of a fully enclosed stadium expected in 2030. The stadium's capacity, currently 11,107, should be increased to between 12,000 and 14,000.

"This memorandum of understanding launches the operational studies phase. This is a decisive stage, which means that we can now look ahead to a vision of a stadium that probably doesn't exist anywhere else. The aim is to make it a living space, integrated into the city, dedicated to high-level football with a wide range of activities throughout the year, not just during matches.
