Transfers: Real Madrid responds to the request for information from FIFA about its foreign minors

Real Madrid CF (Liga BBVA) confirmed the existence of a request for information from the FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) Commission on the Status and Transfer of Players regarding all of the club's foreign underage players, on 26/01/2015.

FIFA prohibits clubs from recruiting players that are foreign minors (under 16 for European citizens) except as provided in the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players. FC Barcelona is currently banned for all player recruitment for violating the this ban regarding foreign-born minors several times between 2009 and 2013. "No formal disciplinary proceedings have been opened (against Real Madrid) at this point," stated the FIFA AFP (Agence France Presse), on 26/01/2015.
