Spain: creation of a joint committee for the development of men's & women's football

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), LALIGA and Liga F have creatied a joint coordination committee for the development of Spanish men's and women's football, on 21/05/2024.

"The aim is to work together to help the growth of Spanish football by means of joint committees that will meet periodically to monitor and evaluate issues and make decisions on executive matters. As a result, any issues where there might be differences of opinion can be resolved through dialogue to reach an agreement. The Committee will be responsible for financial, competition and legal areas, among others," said LALIGA.

Pedro Rocha, president of the Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol, Beatriz Álvarez, president of Liga F, and Javier Tebas, president of LALIGA, signed the agreement at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas, the Spanish Federation's headquarters, in the "Sydney 2023" hall, which celebrates the Spanish women's team victory at the Women's World Cup 2023.
