2023-24 Europa League: Atalanta BC win their first European competition

Atalanta BC (Serie A TIM) won the 2023-24 Europa League after beating Bayer 04 Leverkusen (Bundesliga) 3-0 in the final at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, on Wednesday 22/05/2024.

The club, which won its second trophy after the 1963 Coppa Italia, will receive €26.2m from UEFA for its European success. In the previous financial year, the Italian club posted a turnover of €111.8m and a net profit of €5.6m, while its wage bill totalled €87m.

Prior to this final, Atalanta had a total of 2.5 million followers on social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X). The club also has an average attendance of 14,711 at the Gewiss Stadium (17,000 capacity during the current renovation works), with an average stadium fill rate of 86.5% after 17 out of 19 home games in the Italian league.

For the final, the club displayed Paramount+, the video-on-demand service of American media conglomerate Paramount Global, as its main shirt sponsor. Atalanta do not have a main sponsor for their home shirt for the 2023-24 season.
