Qatar 2022: "Period best suited (is) November-December" (Sheikh Al Khalifi, FIFA Task Force)

"The period best suited for hosting the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be in November and December because for sure it needs to be played in the winter," said Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa (Bahrain), president of the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) and chairman of the FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association) Task Force on the organisation of international matches for the 2018 to 2024 period, on 25/01/2015.

The dates for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be determined at the next meeting of the FIFA Executive Committee in Zurich (SUI) on 19 and 20/03/2015, announced FIFA, following the meeting of its Executive Committee in Marrakech (MAR) on 19/12/2014.
