LALIGA EA Sports: Etihad Airways (airline), main shirt sponsor of Girona FC for 2024-2027 (€2m/year)

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has become the main shirt sponsor of Girona FC (LALIGA EA Sports) for three seasons (2024-2027), announced the Spanish club on 27/05/2024.

The agreement is worth an estimated €2m per season, twice the amount paid by Gosbi (animal nutrition), the Catalan club's main shirt sponsor over the 2021-2024 cycle, according to the Spanish media.

This agreement between the airline and the Spanish club, of which the investment holding company City Football Group is the majority shareholder, further strengthens Etihad Airways' commitment to football. The Emirati company is also the main shirt sponsor of Manchester City FC (Premier League), New York City FC (MLS) and Melbourne City FC (A-League), all of which are owned by City Football Group.
