Wimbledon: Warner Bros. Discovery extends broadcasting rights for 11 European countries until 2027

Warner Bros. Discovery has extended, with the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), its exclusive broadcasting rights to the Wimbledon Grand Slam tournament until 2027 in 11 European countries, announced the media and entertainment conglomerate on 30/05/2024.

The agreement covers Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Slovakia and Sweden. The matches will continue to be broadcast via the Eurosport pay-TV group's channels, while the streaming platform Max will also broadcast the matches for "certain markets" (excluding Iceland, where Max is not available).

Eurosport has been the broadcaster of the Wimbledon tournament in these territories since 2016 (and since 2015 for Belgium). Warner Bros. Discovery also holds the broadcasting rights to Roland-Garros, the Australian Open and the US Open Grand Slam tournaments in these territories.
