Super League: "Juventus has requested to re-join ECA" (Nasser Al-Khelaïfi)

"I start the meeting with very significant news - after having several meetings recently with their management and owners, I am pleased to report that Juventus has requested to re-join ECA, which will be formalised shortly," said Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, chairman of the European Club Association, at the opening of the executive committee meeting of the European clubs' representative body, in London on 01/06/2024, the day before the Champions League final won by Real Madrid CF (2-0 against Borussia Dortmund) at Wembley.

Juventus FC (Serie A TIM) had not been a member of the ECA since the European Super League project was announced in April 2021 at the initiative of its then president, Andrea Agnelli. Agnelli was also chairman of the ECA, but resigned on 18/04/2021. In July 2023, just a few months after Andrea Agnelli's departure from Juventus, the Turin club announced that it was initiating the exit procedure from the Super League project.
