LFP/Ligue 1 TV rights 2024-2029: channel with all matches for €25/month under consideration (press)

The Ligue de Football Professionnel is reportedly considering the creation of a channel to broadcast all Ligue 1 matches for the 2024-2029 cycle in France, to be marketed at a monthly price of €25 per month (over 10 months), according to the sports daily L'Équipe on 05/06/2024.

This channel could be distributed via various agreements with broadcasters and telecoms operators, with a "priority partner" who would guarantee it a minimum annual income of between €500m and €650m, again according to L'Équipe. The LFP is thus aiming for a total average annual income of €710m over five years.

This process could come at a time when beIN SPORTS France was also working on the creation of a channel dedicated to broadcasting Ligue 1 matches from the 2024-25 season, distributed exclusively by the pay and free-TV group Canal+, according to L'Équipe on 11/05/2024.
