Premier League: an average attendance of 38,623 (-4.2%) & average fill rate of 97.6% in 2023-24

The 20 Premier League clubs posted an average of 38,623 spectators per match during the 2023-24 season, down 4.2% on the record 2022-23 season (40,267 spectators). The English top flight welcomed a total of 14.52 million spectators, compared with 14.98 million in 2022-23. This puts the Premier League second among the European Top 5 leagues in terms of attendance, behind the Bundesliga (an average of 39,502 spectators per match).

With 73,534 spectators per game at Old Trafford (74,879 capacity), Manchester United FC were the English club with the best attendance in the Premier League in 2023-24, ahead of West Ham United FC (62,464 spectators at the London Stadium) and Tottenham Hotspur FC (61,533 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium). Manchester United are ranked third among the clubs participating in the European Top 5 in terms of attendance, behind Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga, 81,305) and FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga, 75,000).
