The "Vision Zero Waste" policy implemented by RB Leipzig (Bundesliga) at the Red Bull Arena (Leipzig, GER), which includes "its operational waste and recyclables management", has been awarded bronze TÜV certification by the German independent testing organisation Technischer Überwachungsverein, which is responsible for validating products to protect the environment and health, announced the club on 31/05/2024.

"RB Leipzig set certification before UEFA Euro 2024 as its goal when it presented its first sustainability report in spring 2023. In cooperation with the official supplier PreZero, it has now succeeded in turning this goal into reality and reaching the next milestone in its sustainability commitment," explained the club.

"Since 2022, RB Leipzig and PreZero have been working to raise resource awareness to a new level and significantly increase the recycling rate in the stadium. With success: over 85 percent of the waste generated on the Red Bull Arena site is now recycled or reused. This rate has more than doubled since 2019," added the club.
