Roland-Garros: Warner Bros. Discovery acquires TV rights in the USA for 2025-2034 ($650m)

The media and entertainment conglomerate Warner Bros. Discovery has acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast the Roland-Garros Grand Slam tournament in the United States for the 2025-2034 cycle (ten editions), announced the Fédération Française de Tennis on 11/06/2024.

The rights were acquired for a total of $650m (€602m), or $65m (€60m) per edition, according to American media. The rights to broadcast the tournament were previously held by the US media and entertainment conglomerate NBCUniversal and the pay-TV channel Tennis Channel (owned by media group Sinclair Broadcast Group), which paid between $25m and $30m (between €23m and €28m) a year for the rights until 2024, according to US media.

"TNT Sports (a pay-TV group owned by Warner Bros. Discovery) will provide the most comprehensive Roland-Garros coverage ever in United States, featuring TNT as lead network and live action also airing on TBS, truTV & Max (streaming platform)," said the FFT.
