Euro 2024: opening match Germany - Scotland in Munich on 14/06 & the final in Berlin on 14/07/2024

Germany - Scotland (Group A) at the Munich Football Arena (Allianz Arena, 67,000 capacity) will be the first of 51 matches in the 17^th edition of the UEFA European Football Championship, scheduled for Friday 14/06/2024 (21:00 CET).

This edition with 24 teams (divided into six groups of four, as in 2016 and 2021) is the third to be staged in Germany. Although West Germany hosted the entire competition in 1988, Munich is the only city in the country to have hosted matches - three group matches and a quarter-final - at Euro 2020 (postponed to 2021 because of the Covid-19 pandemic), which was held in 11 European cities.

The competition, in which Italy are the reigning champions, will see the two finalists clash at Berlin's Olympiastadion on Sunday 14/07 (21:00 CET), the same stadium that hosted the 2006 World Cup final in Germany (Italy-France, 1-1, 5-3 on penalties). Euro 2028 will take place in the United Kingdom and Ireland, while Italy and Turkey will host Euro 2032.
