Paris 2024: "AI is there to offer a service to the world of sport" (Erwan Montaux, Intel France)

"It's not that we have a need to talk about AI, but rather that AI is reaching a level of maturity that allows us to propose solutions. There's also this slightly negative view that claims that artificial intelligence is going to replace everything. No, that's not the aim. Instead, the idea is to think about how AI reinforces or helps athletes. How does AI provide new services for broadcasters? How can AI provide viewers with a much more immersive experience? As a Top Global Partner of the IOC since 2017, Intel is deploying a series of technological solutions for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, aimed at athletes, spectators and organisers, including the Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) teams. Among the solutions deployed by the American group:
