Ligue 1: DAZN renews exclusive broadcasting rights for the DACH zone (2024-2027 cycle)

DAZN has extended its exclusive full broadcasting rights to Ligue 1 in Germany and Austria for the 2024-2027 cycle, and acquired them in Switzerland for the same period, announced the OTT sports platform on 13/06/2024. The agreement also includes the Trophée des Champions.

"For the first time in DAZN's history, Ligue 1, like the Serie A Enilive, will also be available in Switzerland - and not just in German, but also in French and English," said the British streaming service.

DAZN has held the rights to broadcast the French Championship in Germany and Austria since 2016. The pay and free-TV group Canal+ and Swiss telecoms operator Swisscom (owner of the Blue Sports pay-TV package, excluding French language) held the rights to broadcast Ligue 1 in Switzerland over the 2021-2024 cycle.

The LFP recently signed media rights agreements with Swiss agency Infront for a "selection of territories" in Europe, Asia and Oceania, and with Turkish agency Saran Media for 18 countries for the marketing of the TV rights to Ligue 1, Ligue 2 and the Trophée des Champions over 2024-2029.
