Premier League: Net88 & DeBet (bookmakers), main shirt sponsors of Crystal Palace & Wolves

The sports betting operators Net88 (AZE) and DeBet (VIE) have become main shirt sponsors of Crystal Palace FC (for the 2024-25 season) and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (for the 2024-2026 cycle) respectively, announced the two Premier League clubs on 11 and 12/06/2024.

The two deals were agreed for "record" sums, according to the two clubs. For Crystal Palace, Net88 succeeds the vehicle e-commerce platform Cinch (2022-2024; €7m per season), which also prematurely terminated its Scottish Premiership naming rights at the end of the 2023-24 season. DeBet, meanwhile, has replaced the payment solution AstroPay (2022-2024; €11.6m per year) on Wolverhampton's kits.

• Eight of the 20 Premier League clubs (40%) had a sports betting operator as their main shirt sponsor in 2023-24. They paid an average annual fee of €8.6m (six amounts known). This proportion is the highest among the European Top 5 leagues where such advertising is permitted (only 3/18 clubs in Ligue 1 and just 1 in the Bundesliga).
