French Senate: hearing with J-C. Germani & E. Conques, directors of CVC, scheduled for 20/06/2024

The French Senate's Committee on Culture, Education, Communication and Sport will hold a public hearing with Jean-Christophe Germani, managing partner at CVC Capital Partners, and Edouard Conques, senior managing director of the Luxembourg fund, on Thursday 20/06/2024 at 16:00, announced the upper house of French Parliament on 14/06/2024.

This hearing is part of the Senate's fact-finding mission on the involvement of investment funds in French professional football. Senator Michel Savin (LR, Isère) is the rapporteur and Laurent Lafon (Union Centriste, Val-de-Marne) is the chairman.

"The aim of this mission is to understand the place that investment funds are taking in the football economy (clubs and the Ligue de Football Professionnel's commercial company) and whether this new trend will be detrimental to their economic future," said Michel Savin on 27/03/2024, specifying that the mission had been given the powers of a commission of inquiry.
