FFF/Orange: partnership with Bodyguard to combat the cyber-bullying of national teams

The Fédération Française de Football (FFF) and its major partner Orange, a French telecommunications operator, are working with French start-up Bodyguard to "offer a protection solution against toxic online messages to the French A, Women's and U21 teams," announced the FFF on 13/06/2024.

"The aim is to enable the FFF and the players in the French teams to have a protection solution on their social networks," explained the Federation, whose men's team are competing at Euro 2024 (from 14/06 to 14/07) and its women's and men's teams in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (from 26/07 to 11/08/2024).

"Thanks to a technology based on artificial intelligence, Bodyguard's solution adopted by Orange enables illicit content to be detected and moderated. This solution will be offered to top-level players to enable them to enjoy the finals of their competitions with peace of mind and to protect their communities. This action is part of the Federation's commitment plan, one of the three pillars of which is the fight against all forms of violence and discrimination," added the FFF.
