DAZN: "By 2023, revenues will have doubled and the loss halved" (S. Azzi, DAZN Italy)

"The DAZN group is becoming increasingly profitable and we are achieving positive margins. By 2023, revenues will have doubled and the loss halved. That's the trajectory and we're not far from it, both at group level and at the level of the platform in Italy," said Stefano Azzi, CEO of the OTT platform DAZN Italy, to the Italian business daily Milano Finanza on 11/06/2024.

DAZN posted a turnover of $2.19bn (€2bn) and a net loss of $1.25bn (€1.14bn) in 2022, according to figures released by the platform. This compares with a turnover of $1.56bn (€1.42bn) and a net loss of $2.3bn (€2.1bn) in 2021.

"To date, we are not planning any redundancies. Our reorganisation should be seen as an adaptation to the current business model. It is absolutely not a question of cost control or crisis, but only an evolution leading to possible reorganisations," added Stefano Azzi.
