Euro 2024: 50 million ticket requests, a record for a European Championship

"With more than 50 million ticket requests in the two application phases - 20 million ticket requests in the first phase for the general public and 30 million ticket requests in the second phase dedicated to supporters of the participating teams - UEFA Euro 2024 is officially the most demanded UEFA European Championship of all time," announced UEFA on 14/06/2024 a few hours before the opening match of the competition (Germany - Scotland) at the Allianz Arena in Munich (GER).

"In order to accommodate the high number of requests, close to 2.3 million tickets (or 85%) of the 2.7 million tickets were made available to the general public and to fans of the teams. So far, 93,147 more tickets than originally planned have been made available, meaning more supporters than ever will get the opportunity to cheer on their team from the stands," added the European Confederation.

Of the 190 countries from which ticket holders come, the most represented are Germany (host country), England, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
