UEFA: closer cooperation with FIFPRO Europe & creation of a "new player-specific forum"

UEFA and FIFPRO Europe are committed to "reinforcing their working relationship" and have announced the creation of a "new player-specific forum to discuss important topics with UEFA on a bilateral basis, complimenting the annual UEFA Convention on the Future of European Football," announced the two organisations on 17/06/2024.

A UEFA delegation led by its president Aleksander Ceferin (SVN), met with David Terrier (FRA), president of FIFPRO Europe, and other board members of the European branch of the global union of professional players in Stuttgart (GER) on 16/06/2024. At the meeting, "many important topics were discussed, including key aspects of football’s governance, player workload trends and the development of women’s football. The two organisations reiterated their joint commitment to work closely on employment matters affecting players within the solidarity-based European football pyramid."
