Serie A: AS Roma form links with seven US clubs as part of the AS Roma Academy programme

AS Roma (Serie A TIM) announced a partnership with seven US clubs as part of the AS Roma Academy programme in the United States, which aims to identify and train young players with the potential to join the AS Roma club, the club announced on 28/01/2015.

"Player development in the United States continues to be a top priority for us. We are confident this initiative will be great for the country and club and produce many star players of tomorrow," said American James Pallotta, president of AS Roma on 28/01/2015.

The seven American partner clubs:

• Chargers (Clearwater, Florida)
• Pateadores (Santa Ana, California)
• FC Greater Boston Bolts (Boston, Massachusetts)
• Real Colorado (Denver, Colorado)
• Vardar (Detroit, Michigan)
• The last two clubs will be confirmed soon. According to AS Roma, they will be:
  • a New York club
  • a Pacific north-west coast club
