Paris 2024: 8.4 million tickets sold for the Olympics & over 25,000 tickets put on sale on 20/06

More than 8.4 million tickets (out of a total volume of 10 million) have been sold to attend the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, compared with more than 960,000 for the Paralympic competitions (out of 2.8 million available) as of 19/06/2024, announced the Paris 2024 COJOP the same day.

As part of the "Ticket Thursdays" programme launched on 29/05/2025, which involves new tickets going on sale to attend Olympic events every Thursday at 10:00 CET, more than 25,000 tickets in 30 disciplines will be available for sale on 20/06/2024:
• over 2,000 for the equestrian events in Versailles (from €24);
• over 5,000 for the swimming competitions (from €85);
• 1,200 tickets for the handball games and 900 for the volleyball matches;
• tickets for the French team and Team USA basketball matches (from €80);
• tickets for the opening ceremony in categories B and C.

The tickets put on sale come in particular from "quotas frozen to deal with possible difficulties linked to the configuration of the venues" that the handover of the keys to the various competition host venues to the COJOP has made it possible to…
