2024-25 Ligue 1 calendar: champions Paris Saint-Germain to start versus Le Havre AC

Paris Saint-Germain, 2023-24 French champions, will play their first Ligue 1 match of 2024-25 away to Le Havre AC at the Stade Océane (Le Havre, Seine-Maritime), according to the LFP, which published the full calendar for the season on 21/06/2024 (document available to download).

For this second Ligue 1 season with 18 clubs (compared with 20 until 2022-23), Matchday 1 will take place on the weekend of 16, 17 and 18/08/2024, while Matchday 34, the final matchday, will be played (via multiplex) on 18/05/2025, for a total of 306 matches played.

"No matchday will be scheduled during the week for this season. Matchday 15 in Ligue 1, scheduled for the weekend of 14/12/2024, will mark the start of the winter break, while the season will resume on the weekend of 04/01/2025," explained the LFP. The first leg of the Ligue 1 play-off, which will pit 16^th-placed Ligue 1 club versus the Ligue 2 BKT play-off winners, will take place on Thursday 22/05, while the second leg will be played on Sunday 25/05/2025.
